Our Philosophy of Learning

In a caring and positive atmosphere, we create a warm and happy place for toddlers and preschoolers to learn. As we bridge the gap from home to school, we guide children during their learning experiences, enhancing their feelings of self-worth and developing a positive self-concept.

Classroom programs encourage active involvement in a meaningful-centered learning environment. We treat each child as an individual, working from the level each child has attained and moving forward one step at a time. We promote a love of learning by allowing children to experience success with each accomplishment.

The Foundations of Our Program

Shining Stars Learning Center utilizes Beyond Cribs and Rattles and Beyond Centers and Circle Time curriculums in conjunction with Creative Curriculum for our educational programs.

All learning tasks are appropriate to the child's individual functioning level and conducive to your child's success. These skills are taught by incorporating weekly themes and are attained with repeated practice through a variety of methods and materials. Tasks are designed with emphasis on the process rather than the product, fostering a true sense of accomplishment and pride.
